Anthropic’s chatbot Claude experienced service disruptions in several regions for the second time in less than 24 hours, according to outage tracking site Downdetector.

More than 300 users reported access issues beginning at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday. The company’s status page indicated “elevated errors” affecting Claude Cowork and Claude Code tools.

On Monday, more than 900 users reported outages at the peak of the disruption.

Anthropic said it was investigating elevated errors across multiple services, including Claude Opus 4.6, its latest large language model, and its developer platform, Claude Console.

The disruptions followed reports that Amazon Web Services (AWS), Anthropic’s primary cloud provider, faced outages after one of its UAE data centres was struck by “objects,” triggering a fire and power shutdown.

AWS has not confirmed any direct link between its incident and Claude’s outages.
