Apple has scheduled a press event for March 4 in New York, where the company is widely expected to unveil new products, potentially including the iPhone 17e and a lower-cost MacBook model.
The event, branded as a “Special Apple Experience,” will begin at 9 a.m. ET. Apple has not confirmed what products will be announced.
While Apple frequently hosts major product launches at its Cupertino headquarters, the company has previously used New York for high-profile announcements, including the 2018 launch of the iPad Pro.
Industry speculation suggests the company could introduce the iPhone 17e, an entry-level device reportedly powered by an A19 chip similar to that of the base iPhone 17. The model is expected to support MagSafe charging and feature a single rear camera, while maintaining a design similar to last year’s version.
Reports also point to the possible debut of a more affordable MacBook positioned below the MacBook Air. The device, reportedly codenamed J700, could feature a 12.9-inch display and colourful design options reminiscent of the iMac G3. Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously suggested Apple is developing a MacBook powered by an A18 Pro chip, with pricing expected below $1,000.
Additional announcements may include updates to the iPad lineup, potentially featuring a base model with an A18 chip and an M4-powered iPad Air. Analysts also anticipate refreshed MacBook Pro models equipped with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
Apple has not yet confirmed whether the event will be livestreamed. In addition to New York, parallel sessions are expected in London and Shanghai.
