EDU-XR: The EdTech Revolutionizing Education through Virtual Reality
By Abbas Badmus

TECHDIGEST – In an interview with the founders of EDU-XR, an innovative EdTech startup, told TechDigest their mission to revolutionize the way students and teachers experience education.

Arome Ibrahim, the lead product manager, Sarki Oricha, the Technical Lead, and Adnan Kayode, leading operations and business development, founded Experis Immersive Multimedia Innovations Limited in 2019.

Their brainchild, EDU-XR, aims to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical experience by utilizing curated Virtual & Augmented Reality educational content.

EDU-XR focuses on addressing the urgent need for increased interest in science and technology subjects across Africa.

With an alarming lack of practical experimentation in schools and the associated disinterest in STEM subjects, the startup’s founders are determined to change this narrative.

“Science disciplines have become complex and uninteresting due to a lack of practical experimentation,” said Arome.

The team believes that immersive learning experiences can spark enthusiasm for these subjects, fostering a new generation of scientists and engineers.

The uniqueness of EDU-XR lies in its commitment to utilizing virtual and augmented reality to provide an engaging and interactive learning environment.

By aligning their content with school curricula, EDU-XR helps increase knowledge retention and engagement.
