Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has introduced a new feature to its Grok AI model that allows users to convert still images into short videos.
In a post on X, Musk demonstrated the feature, showing an AI-generated video created from a static image with the prompt: “She smiles and says, ‘I will always love you.’” The tool, powered by Grok Imagine, can be accessed by long-pressing an image and customizing a prompt.
The update integrates directly with Musk’s social platform X, allowing users to create and share AI-generated videos seamlessly. The company says the feature leverages Grok’s growing multimodal capabilities.
Users on X have already begun experimenting with the feature, posting their AI-generated clips online. Musk also shared an AI-generated video of actress Sydney Sweeney saying, “You are so cringe.”
The rollout follows xAI’s recent announcement that Grok 4 would be available to all users, though only paying subscribers have access to advanced modes and faster performance.
