In response to Abubakar’s call, Bawa acknowledged that the EFCC could not have achieved its recent successes without leveraging technology in its day-to-day activities. He cited the use of technology in the case file management system, human resources management, and the creation of a corruption reporting application, Eagle Eye App, among others. He also called for the creation of an e-governance structure that would integrate most ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) of government electronically.
The EFCC Chairman praised GBB for its expertise in cyber security and training, and expressed his appreciation for the company’s willingness to collaborate with the Commission. He noted that the EFCC is committed to using technology to combat corruption and other financial crimes in Nigeria, and welcomed GBB’s offer of support.
