Google has launched Mixboard, an experimental AI-powered tool designed to help users brainstorm and ideate. Now in public beta in the U.S., Mixboard functions like a digital mood board, blending inspiration with AI generation.

Users can start with sample boards or build from scratch using text prompts, uploading their own images, or generating visuals with Google’s AI. The tool integrates Google’s new “Nano Banana” AI model for editing, enabling easy refinements such as merging photos or tweaking design details without advanced skills.

Features like “regenerate” and “more like this” let users explore variations quickly, while AI-generated text can automatically add labels or captions to boards.

Google positions Mixboard as a flexible platform for home decor planning, event themes, DIY projects, and product concepting. Though still experimental, it underscores the company’s push to integrate AI into everyday creative workflows.
