Google Rolls Out Gemini 3, Its Most Advanced AI Model Yet

Google began rolling out its next-generation AI model, Gemini 3, on Tuesday as the company pushes to stay ahead in the increasingly competitive AI race dominated by OpenAI, Anthropic and other frontier developers.

CEO Sundar Pichai described Gemini 3 as Google’s “most intelligent” and “state-of-the-art” model, with major improvements in coding, reasoning, and multimodal understanding.

Gemini 3 is available through the Gemini app for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, via AI Mode in Search, in Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise for businesses, and through APIs in AI Studio, Gemini CLI and Google Antigravity — Google’s new agentic development platform.

Google says Gemini 3 outperforms previous models on all major benchmarks, posting PhD-level reasoning scores and leading the LM Arena leaderboard with 1501 points. Its multimodal capabilities allow it to analyse text, images, video and spatial information more effectively.

Developers can use Gemini 3 for advanced “vibe coding,” with Google claiming significant improvements over Gemini 2.5 Pro.

Google also redesigned the Gemini interface, adding Dynamic View — a real-time generative interface that creates custom layouts, visuals and interactive modules based on user prompts. A new Gemini Agent can now handle multi-step tasks, integrate with Google apps, manage schedules and generate responses within the app.

Gemini 3 is also coming to Search through an upgraded AI Mode, enabling the system to process more nuanced and complex queries.

The launch intensifies a rapidly escalating contest among AI giants, each racing to release more capable, autonomous and multimodal large language models.
