Google News Innovation Challenge Opens For Application

TECHDIGEST – The third Middle East, Turkey & Africa GNI Innovation Challenge is now open for applications.

The challenge will fund projects that inject new ideas into the news industry. It is an important program from the Google News Initiative; Google’s global effort to build a stronger future for journalism.

A panel of Googlers will review the submissions and fund selected projects up to $150,000 and finance up to 70 percent of the total project cost. They may be joined by experts from the industry.
