FG Invites Firms to Host Code Clubs in 16 States, FCT
The Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy has launched an initiative in partnership with the UK-based Raspberry Pi Foundation to establish Code Clubs in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
These extracurricular programming clubs aim to foster digital literacy and innovation among Nigerian youth aged 7 to 17.Host organizations are sought in states such as Lagos, Osun, Gombe, Nasarawa, Ekiti, Kogi, Imo, Delta, Ogun, Oyo, Edo, Enugu, Borno, Katsina, Jigawa, and Taraba.
The Code Clubs, initially set up in 17 knowledge exchange centers, will later expand across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Qualified organizations with a background in STEAM training are encouraged to apply for the program, providing young Nigerians access to coding and technology education.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation will supply toolkits, support, and guidelines, while the Ministry facilitates the program’s establishment and operation using a partnership model.
Philip Colligan, CEO of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Code Clubs are a fantastic way to give young people the opportunity to get creative with computers and digital technologies, opening up a world of possibilities.”
The Code Clubs’ learning paths will cover various coding and technology-related subjects, preparing Nigeria’s youth for a digital and technologically advanced future. Interested organizations can apply to be hosts and contribute to building a digital knowledge pipeline with the younger generation at its core.
