MDS 5.1: JCI Aso trains youths on AI-driven communication, productivity

The Junior Chambers International Aso (JCI Aso) has launched the Membership Development Series 5.1 (MDS 5.1), with the theme, “NextGen Leaders: Powering Communication and Productivity with AI,” aimed at equipping young people with practical artificial intelligence skills for career growth and workplace productivity.

The two-day training, held in Abuja, brought together youths from the Federal Capital Territory and surrounding areas to learn how artificial intelligence can be applied to smart work, communication, creativity, and professional development.

The sessions were facilitated by AI professionals, Ayodele Samuel Adebayo and Shamsudeen Adedapo Aderoju, who trained participants on the use of AI tools for career advancement and digital productivity.

Speaking during the event, the 2026 President of JCI Aso, Peter Emmanuel Yiiblem, urged participants to maximise the opportunity provided by the training to develop their talents and position themselves for emerging opportunities in the AI ecosystem.

According to him, artificial intelligence has become an integral part of the future workforce, making it important for young people to acquire relevant digital skills.

Yiiblem also commended the facilitators for contributing their expertise and resources toward the success of the programme, while appreciating stakeholders of JCI Aso for their support and solidarity.

One of the participants, Henrietta Fomson, described the training as timely and impactful, noting that it significantly improved her understanding of AI applications, particularly in CV writing and LinkedIn optimisation.

Another participant, Charles Osigwe, said the programme had become a turning point for his career, adding that the knowledge gained would enhance his professional growth.

Similarly, Patience Ezekiel praised JCI Aso for organising the initiative, stating that the training broadened her knowledge of AI and positioned her for greater opportunities in the digital space.
