Meta Unveils New Program to Simplify Earning on Facebook
Meta recently unveiled its new Content Monetization beta program for Facebook, designed to enhance earning opportunities for content creators. The initiative combines three key monetization tools—In-stream ads, Ads on Reels, and the Performance bonus—allowing creators to earn from a wider range of content types, including Reels, long-form videos, photos, and text posts.
This unified program consolidates Facebook’s existing monetization options, streamlining the process for creators. Previously, only about one-third of creators earned from more than one Facebook-funded program due to varying eligibility requirements.
Since 2017, over four million creators have earned through Facebook, with more than $2 billion paid out in the last year alone.
Meta noted that earnings from Reels and short-form videos have surged, with payouts increasing by over 80% in the past year.

How the Program Works
The Content Monetization beta simplifies the earning process by allowing creators to monetize various content formats through a single program. It also provides unified performance insights for easier tracking, while maintaining a performance-based payout structure.
Launch and Enrollment
Facebook has begun inviting one million existing monetizing creators to join the beta, with wider enrollment set to open in 2025.
Creators can gain early access by joining through the monetization tab in the Professional dashboard or Meta Business Suite.
Meta’s move aims to strengthen its creator community, making it simpler and more rewarding to monetize content across Facebook.
