The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has upgraded its diaspora enrolment platform to improve security and service delivery for Nigerians living abroad.

In a post on its official X page, the commission directed all accredited Diaspora Front-End Partners to activate their licences within 48 hours to continue offering enrolment services. The platform enables Nigerians overseas to enrol for or update their National Identification Number remotely, using authorised agents to securely capture and transmit biometric and supporting documents.

NIMC said enrolment services within Nigeria remain unaffected and advised residents to visit its website for the nearest centre or use its online portal for data modification. The commission also urged Nigerians to download the NINAuth app for secure verification.
