He urged the technology industry to focus on innovating in both traditional and future industries, emphasizing that technology is the driving force behind progress in any sector.

Furthermore, he stressed the role of technology in personalizing businesses and enhancing customer interactions, emphasizing its potential to boost productivity and shape the future.

The Director-General also revealed NITDA’s commitment to training over three million Nigerians within the next four years, with the goal of empowering individuals to create their own job opportunities and achieve success in technology-related fields.

Mr Kashifu underscored the importance of fostering trust and collaboration between the government and the tech ecosystem, believing that such a partnership could drive positive change.

At the same event, Afolabi Sobande, the Chief Operating Officer of CWG, expressed the company’s pride in being a leading technology service provider in Nigeria. CWG sees this role as a means of contributing to society and the nation’s technology sector by bringing industry experts together to discuss how to advance the country and the tech industry.

Adewale Ayeyipo, the Group Chief Executive Officer of CWG, emphasized the need for industry stakeholders to engage in dialogue, bridging the gap between the private sector, home to numerous startups, and the government, which oversees regulatory matters.

The conference aimed to raise awareness about the significance of innovation and facilitate discussions on the way forward for the industry and the country as a whole.
