NITDA Plans Digital Innovation Center in Kano to Boost Tech Ecosystem
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced its upcoming establishment of a digital innovation center in Kano, aiming to catalyze digital innovation within the state.
NITDA Director General, Malam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, revealed this initiative at the graduation ceremony of 50 students trained by ENGAUSA TECH HUB in Jigawa State.
The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 50 students from Ringim in Jigawa State, who underwent specialized training. Ten students were equipped with skills in smartphone repairs, while forty others received training in diverse building installation techniques, ranging from electrical wiring to solar power installation and satellite entertainment systems.

These graduates, all indigenes of Ringim, were presented with tool kits and gadgets valued at over N100,000 to kick-start their entrepreneurial journeys. Malam Abdullahi commended the efforts of ENGAUSA TECH HUB, emphasizing the importance of training in indigenous languages.
ENGAUSA TECH HUB’s founder, Engr. Mustapha Habu Ringim, highlighted the organization’s success in simplifying the learning of complex skills for over 4,000 students across Northern and Southern States, as well as neighboring countries.
Notably, some ENGAUSA graduates have become employers, a testament to the quality of their training.Acknowledging the support of sponsors like IGP Hafiz Abubakar Ringim (rtd) and Justice Tijjani Garba, the Emir of Ringim expressed pride in ENGAUSA’s roots and commended NITDA DG for consistently supporting the developmental initiatives of the emirate.
The upcoming digital innovation center in Kano is poised to further amplify these efforts and foster technological advancements in the region.
