Nvidia Aims to Boost AI Development in Vietnam

TECH DIGEST– US chipmaker Nvidia announced plans to deepen its collaboration with Vietnam’s top tech firms, including Viettel, FPT, Vingroup, and VNG. The company, which has already invested $250 million in Vietnam, aims to support the country in AI development and digital infrastructure.

Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, expressed the intent to expand partnerships with leading Vietnamese tech companies during his visit to Hanoi. The move comes as Vietnam explores opportunities in chip designing amid US-China trade tensions, with discussions on semiconductor cooperation reportedly taking place in a recent meeting.

Vietnam’s investment minister proposed the establishment of an Nvidia research and development facility in the country.
