Samsung is expected to delay the launch of its upcoming Galaxy S26 series to March 2026, marking the first time in five years the company will release a flagship Galaxy S model in that month.
According to a report from ETNews, the delay stems from a “sudden change in product composition,” as Samsung reportedly replaces a planned ultra-slim “Edge” model with a revived “Plus” variant.
A Samsung official quoted in the report said the company is still in the pre–mass production stage, and the final schedule has not been confirmed.
The Galaxy S26 series is also expected to see a price increase due to rising component costs, including a 12% hike in mobile processors and an 8% increase in camera module prices.
Samsung is likely to continue its dual-chip strategy, with the Exynos 2600 powering select regions and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 used globally. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to feature a rounder design and a redesigned camera module based on recent leaks.
