Telecommunications company T2 (formerly 9mobile) has entered into a multi-million-dollar partnership with India’s Knot Solutions to upgrade its Business and Operations Support Systems (BSS/OSS).
The deal was formally announced by T2 Chief Executive Officer, Obafemi Banigbe, during a signing ceremony at the GITEX Nigeria Tech Expo and Future Economy Conference held in Lagos on Wednesday.
Banigbe said the partnership was part of T2’s four-phase transformation agenda—stabilisation, modernisation, transformation, and growth—aimed at restoring the company’s competitiveness in Nigeria’s telecom market.
“This structured approach underscores our commitment to restoring competitiveness, driving customer-focused innovation, and enabling Nigeria’s digital future,” Banigbe stated.
He added that T2 was no longer limiting itself to voice and data, but was evolving into a platform company that would provide digital financial services, cloud solutions, entertainment, and lifestyle products.
“This is not just a system upgrade. It is a customer-first revolution that transforms how people interact with their digital world—seamlessly, instantly, and on their terms,” he said.
Knot Solutions CEO, Sumanth Konuru, said the partnership would position T2 for hyper-personalised digital services through its flagship platform, RaptrDXP™.
“T2 can now move beyond rigid models into a dynamic, hyper-personalised ecosystem. This is about more than efficiency—it’s about unmatched customer experiences,” Konuru noted.
The partnership follows T2’s recent multi-million-dollar agreement with Huawei to modernise its core network infrastructure as part of its revival strategy. The company has been struggling in recent years, with its subscriber base falling from over 23 million to fewer than 3 million before its rebrand.
