The directive was delivered at the committee’s fifth meeting on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where Tinubu was represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. He emphasized that the National Single Window is integral to achieving Nigeria’s ambition of becoming a $1 trillion economy.

Gbajabiamila said the project, designed to simplify and digitize Nigeria’s import and export procedures, must meet its set milestones.

“This project is one of Mr. President’s transformative initiatives, and we must stay focused to meet our timelines and deliver the results expected of us,” he stated.

The platform aims to integrate all trade-related government agencies into one digital portal, streamlining processes, reducing trade costs, and enhancing Nigeria’s global competitiveness.

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, acknowledged steady progress but urged immediate transition from planning to execution. “This project is complex but transformational. We must now move from strategy to action,” he said.

Also speaking, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, stressed the urgency of meeting the Q1 2026 rollout.

Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji, noted that the NSW is now backed by law. “When we started last month, this was just a project. It is now enshrined in law,” he said.

Tola Fakolade, Director of the NSW Project, confirmed that all Q2 2025 targets have been met and that platform customisation is in progress. “We are confident of meeting our rollout deadline,” he assured.
