In a bold move to equip Nigerian executives with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills, the Texas Business School (TBS), in collaboration with the Association of Information Technology Experts (NITE), has unveiled a groundbreaking executive training program titled “Mastering ChatGPT for Business Excellence.”
The training is scheduled to take place on May 20, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, and on June 4, 2025, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja. It targets senior executives, directors, and managers in both public and private sectors, aiming to drive AI adoption across key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
As businesses worldwide accelerate their integration of AI tools into operations, experts warn that organizations that delay adoption risk significant inefficiencies and loss of market competitiveness by 2026. The TBS-NITE initiative is designed to provide participants with practical, hands-on training in using ChatGPT to boost productivity and streamline operations.
Leading the programme is Lucky Felix Eyo, a renowned AI expert and MIT alumnus, with over 15 years of global experience in digital transformation across top-tier firms such as BP, Citibank, FrieslandCampina, and Procter & Gamble. Currently heading JMDL Consulting in the United States, Eyo is also credited with nurturing tech talent through the DigiSol Africa Internship initiative across Nigeria, Cameroon, and Ghana.
Joining Eyo are Engr. Emmanuel Eze, a UK-trained AI and blockchain engineer, and Chikere Asogwa, a respected academic and IT management specialist. Together, they will guide participants through real-life applications of ChatGPT in areas including finance, human resources, procurement, legal, logistics, and healthcare administration.
“This program goes beyond theory—it’s about practical, immediate impact,” said a statement from NITE. “Participants will learn how to apply ChatGPT to automate reporting, enhance policy writing, speed up procurement, and improve decision-making.”
With industry forecasts suggesting that up to 60% of executive decisions will be AI-driven by 2026, TBS and NITE are urging Nigerian organizations—ranging from SMEs to government agencies—to seize this opportunity and prepare for a technology-driven future.
Registration details are available at www.niteonline.org, with limited slots available due to the interactive and personalized nature of the training.
This initiative marks a major stride in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey and underscores the growing importance of AI literacy for national economic resilience.
