According to WhatsApp tipster publication, WABetaInfo, the development of this search feature is prompted by the growing discontent among users with the revamped Updates tab. Currently, locating a specific contact’s status update has proven to be a formidable challenge, as the latest tab update conspicuously omitted the search function. Thankfully, WhatsApp seems to be attuned to user feedback, and in response, they are poised to reinstate the search option in the overhauled Updates tab.
