WhatsApp has introduced a range of new features, including AI-powered suggested replies, enhanced message drafting tools, and new options for managing storage and media.
The update expands the app’s “Writing Help” feature, which was first launched in August 2025. The tool already allows users to rephrase, proofread, and adjust the tone of messages. With the latest upgrade, WhatsApp now offers AI-generated reply suggestions based on ongoing conversations.
According to the company, the feature is designed to help users craft messages more effectively while maintaining privacy. Users can access it by tapping the chat bar, selecting the stickers icon, and choosing the AI-enabled writing option.
In addition to messaging improvements, WhatsApp has introduced new tools to help users manage storage. The app now allows users to identify and delete large files within chats without removing entire conversations. Users can also choose to delete only media files while keeping chat history intact.
The platform has also integrated Meta AI into chats, enabling users to edit photos directly within conversations. Features include removing unwanted elements, changing backgrounds, and applying visual styles.
Other updates include support for transferring chat history between iOS and Android devices, as well as within the same platform. iOS users can now also operate two WhatsApp accounts on a single device, a feature previously limited to Android.
WhatsApp has further enhanced its sticker functionality by introducing contextual suggestions based on emojis typed during conversations.
The company said the features are being rolled out gradually and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
