WhatsApp is testing a new interactive feature for its Channels product that allows administrators to post quiz-based updates for followers, according to reports from WABetaInfo.

The feature, known as Channel Quiz, enables users to answer multiple-choice questions directly within a channel. Participants receive instant feedback indicating whether their selected answer is correct, with a brief confetti animation shown for correct responses.

The quiz option appears in the attachment menu for some channel administrators using the latest beta versions of WhatsApp on Android and iOS. Similar in layout to WhatsApp’s existing poll feature, the quiz format allows admins to include images alongside answer options to improve visual clarity.

After a quiz is completed, administrators can view a summary showing how many followers selected each option and how many users participated. However, WhatsApp said that personal details such as phone numbers and profile photos remain hidden unless the participant is already in the admin’s contact list.

The company is positioning the feature as a way to make Channels more engaging and to boost interaction between creators and their audiences. The feature is currently limited to beta testers and is expected to roll out more broadly in the coming weeks.
