WhatsApp to Introduce Avatars Like Facebook’s Bitmoji
TECHDIGEST- Following recent claims that WhatsApp is working on allowing users to create avatar profile photographs, the instant messaging service is now apparently handing out the avatars feature to a small group of beta testers. The avatars’ function will allow users to create a digital representation of themselves to use as a profile photo and possibly even during video calls.
“WhatsApp is releasing the ability to set up an avatar to some lucky beta testers on WhatsApp beta for Android! An avatar is the best way to express yourself on WhatsApp let’s configure an avatar so you can share personalized stickers with your friends”- WABetaInfo

WABetaInfo first reported the new functionality, which is said to be compatible with WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.8 and 2.22.23.9. When you finish creating your Avatar, WhatsApp will generate a new sticker pack for you to share with other users on the app. You can also use an avatar as your WhatsApp profile photo.
You may get access to the avatar functions if you are running WhatsApp beta and have updated to one of the two compatible versions. To find out, navigate to your WhatsApp settings and look for a new area called “Avatar.” If you see this part, it implies that the feature has been rolled out to your device and you may begin creating your avatar.
