YouTube has officially launched its multi-language audio feature, allowing millions of creators to dub their videos in different languages and reach wider audiences.
The feature, announced on Wednesday, comes after a two-year pilot that included creators such as MrBeast, Mark Rober, and Jamie Oliver. YouTube said the rollout will take place over the coming weeks.
The system initially required third-party dubbing services but now integrates an AI-powered auto-dubbing tool using Google’s Gemini technology, designed to replicate tone and emotion.
YouTube said pilot testers saw significant gains, with creators who uploaded multi-language audio tracks recording over 25 percent of their watch time from non-primary languages. Jamie Oliver’s channel reportedly tripled its views.
The company is also testing multi-language thumbnails that display text in viewers’ preferred languages, further expanding the platform’s accessibility.
