YouTube Music Unveils New Feature
YouTube Music’s mobile app has unveiled a new feature, a comments section on its ‘Now Playing’ screen. After extensive testing since June, this addition is now available on both Android and iOS versions of YouTube Music.
This latest update introduces a slide-up panel that allows users to explore comments related to specific tracks and videos. Similar to YouTube’s primary platform, users can sort comments by ‘Top’ or ‘Newest’ for convenience.
Moreover, users can actively engage by leaving their own comments directly within the YouTube Music app.YouTube Music is breaking new ground by incorporating a comments section into its service, setting it apart from other global music platforms.

Notably, this feature has long been a staple of music platforms in China.Furthermore, YouTube Music has introduced a ‘Comment Square’ feature, offering an additional channel for users to post and explore comments.
The revamped user interface (UI) closely resembles the design of the primary YouTube app, creating a seamless user experience.
The three-dot menu in the top corner remains unchanged, providing various options, including the ability to view song credits and improving accessibility to essential functions.
Song titles have been shifted to the left, departing from their previous centered alignment, and song controls have been relocated to the bottom of the UI.This is not the first instance of YouTube Music testing the comments section, as they began experimenting with this feature in June.
According to 9to5, the updated Now Playing UI is gradually rolling out to YouTube Music on both Android and iOS platforms, promising an enhanced and interactive experience for users.
