YouTube has increased subscription prices for its premium services, marking its first price adjustment in three years.
The platform, owned by Alphabet, said the individual YouTube Premium plan will now cost $15.99 per month, up from $13.99, while the family plan will rise by $4 to $26.99.
YouTube Lite, a lower-cost tier offering limited ad-free viewing, will now be priced at $8.99 per month. The standalone YouTube Music Premium subscription has also been increased to $11.99 per month.
The company said the price adjustments are intended to support continued investment in features such as ad-free viewing, background playback and access to an extensive music library.
The move aligns with broader trends in the streaming industry, where platforms including Spotify, Netflix and Disney+ have introduced price increases in response to rising content and operational costs.
YouTube reported that its combined Music and Premium services surpassed 125 million subscribers globally in 2025, up from 100 million the previous year.
