Graphic design platform Canva experienced a widespread service disruption on Tuesday, preventing many users from accessing designs and other platform features.
Reports of the outage began emerging around 9:15 a.m. IST, with users encountering “500 Internal Server Error” messages on both Canva’s website and mobile application. The disruption primarily affected mobile users, although website access and login issues were also reported.
Several users said they were unable to open existing projects or create new designs, causing disruptions for businesses, marketers and content creators that rely on the platform for daily operations.
Canva acknowledged the issue through its official status page and confirmed that engineering teams were investigating the cause. In a later update, the company said it had identified the problem and was implementing corrective measures to restore services.
The company also reassured users through social media that engineers were working to resolve the disruption as quickly as possible.
