Elon Musk Announces Launch of ChatGPT-Like AI Chatbot, GrokX
Elon Musk, the owner of GrokX, has revealed his latest venture into the world of artificial intelligence with the introduction of Grok, a chatbot similar to ChatGPT. Musk’s xAI company is set to release the beta version of Grok today, which he described as “the best in some important aspects.”
Once the beta testing phase is completed, Grok will become available to all X Premium+ subscribers.Grok, much like ChatGPT, will have real-time access to information on the X platform and will possess internet browsing capabilities to fetch up-to-date information on specific topics.
It will provide conversational responses, drawing from a knowledge base akin to those used in training other text-generating models. What sets Grok apart, according to Musk, is its incorporation of humor into its responses.

In a recent conversation with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the UK AI Safety Summit, Musk reiterated his call for AI regulation, acknowledging the potential challenges it poses.
He emphasized the importance of having a referee in the AI field, despite the potential annoyances it may bring.The AI Summit also saw the signing of the “Bletchley Declaration” by 28 countries, including Nigeria.
This historic agreement marks a shared understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with advanced AI and the necessity for global cooperation to address the challenges.
The Declaration emphasizes the potential for serious harm, deliberate or unintentional, arising from powerful AI models, as well as concerns regarding bias and privacy.
The signatory countries pledged to collectively manage these risks and ensure the responsible development and deployment of AI for the benefit of the global community.
