The Federal Government has launched an artificial intelligence-powered platform, GovGuideNigeria, aimed at simplifying access to government information and public services for Nigerians across the country.

Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, announced the launch on Thursday through a statement shared on X.

According to the Minister, the initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to improve public service delivery through digital innovation and emerging technologies.

Tijani disclosed that the platform is accessible through WhatsApp and the web, and is currently available in English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba to improve accessibility for citizens from different linguistic backgrounds.

He explained that GovGuideNigeria provides users with access to information from more than 35 federal ministries and over 60 government agencies.

According to him, the platform was specifically designed to bridge information and language barriers, particularly for underserved communities and citizens with low literacy levels who often struggle to access government services and official information.

“Today, we launched GovGuideNigeria, an AI-powered platform designed to make access to government information simpler, faster, and more inclusive for every Nigerian,” Tijani stated.

He added that the initiative reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring that artificial intelligence and digital technologies deliver practical value to citizens.

The Minister also revealed that the platform was developed through a collaboration involving the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Meta Platforms, and Publica.

According to him, the project demonstrates the growing importance of partnerships between government institutions, private sector companies, and local innovators in solving public sector challenges.

“I appreciate the strong collaboration between NCAIR, Meta, and Publica in bringing this important initiative to life,” he said.

The launch comes about two years after the Ministry introduced Nigeria’s first multilingual large language model, N-ATLAS, which was designed to support the digitisation of Nigerian languages and the development of inclusive artificial intelligence solutions.

The N-ATLAS project was developed through partnerships involving Nigerian AI startup Awarritech, DataDotOrg, the National Information Technology Development Agency, and NCAIR.

Tijani encouraged Nigerians to use the new platform to access government-related information and services more conveniently.
