Meta: Threads App Adds New Features to Boost Usage
TECHDIGEST– Meta’s text-based app Threads is rolling out new features to boost usage. The app has added the ability to see your liked posts, a new media upload quality option, and the ability to sort your following list.
Threads users can now find their liked posts in Settings > Your Likes, which is accessible through the profile page. The new media upload quality option allows users to upload images and videos in higher quality. Additionally, Threads is now allowing users to sort their following list based on “Latest first” and “Earlier first” criteria.

These are small but welcome updates for Threads. However, the app still faces an uphill battle to maintain its user base. Launched last month, Threads got off to a stellar start with 100 million users signing up for the service in the first five days. However, stats from various analytics companies have indicated that the app’s usage has dipped over time.
Meta is hoping that the new features will help to reverse this trend. The company has also hinted that more features, such as post-search and a web version, are coming in the next few weeks.
