TikTok removed more than four million videos and terminated over 86,000 live sessions in Nigeria during the fourth quarter of 2025 as part of its efforts to enforce community standards on the platform.
According to TikTok’s Q4 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, 4.02 million videos were taken down in Nigeria during the quarter. The company said 99.9 per cent of the removals were detected proactively before users reported them, while 98.4 per cent were removed within 24 hours of posting.
TikTok also shut down more than 86,000 live sessions in Nigeria for violating platform rules. The enforcement actions formed part of a wider global crackdown that saw the platform take action against millions of live streams and content creators who breached its policies.
Globally, TikTok removed more than 175 million videos during the quarter, with the majority detected through automated moderation systems. The company also intensified efforts to identify and label AI-generated content, resulting in more than 1.3 billion AI-generated videos being tagged worldwide.
TikTok said it would continue collaborating with Nigerian authorities, including the Office of the National Security Adviser, and civil society groups to promote online safety and combat harmful content.
