According to Marilyn Shamba, Product Manager at Rectron, extending their partnership with Microsoft to the SADC region is a crucial aspect of their strategy to grow Rectron’s presence in the area. With this expansion, Rectron will become a one-stop-shop for resellers in SADC for Microsoft products and services, offering Microsoft 365 as a Fully Packaged Product (FFP) and an Electronic Software Delivery (ESD). Windows will be available as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), FFP, and ESD, while server licenses will be available as OEM licensing.

Rectron’s experience as a trusted Microsoft distributor has enabled the company to develop several programs that offer resellers financial benefits when purchasing devices with Microsoft software. Additionally, their dedicated marketing team is well-equipped to assist resellers with valuable marketing materials that promote the benefits of genuine software and correct software licenses.

This expansion complements Rectron’s existing partnership with the South African market, which currently services Lesotho and the Kingdom of Eswatini. In addition to distributing Microsoft products, Rectron boasts an impressive portfolio of notebook brands, including Acer, Asus, Gigabyte, Lenovo, MSI, and RCT.

Marilyn Shamba expresses confidence in Rectron’s capabilities as a Microsoft distributor and looks forward to a fruitful journey with Microsoft. With an already well-oiled machine, she believes that the region is in capable hands and that the partnership will yield endless possibilities for growth and expansion.
